BORNITE, superbly crystallized on minute QUARTZ crystals wth minor CLINOCHLORE.
Bristol Copper Mine, Bristol, Hartford County, Connecticut.
Measures 2-1/4 x 1-3/4 x 1 inches.
This is the only Bristol mine bornite I have had in my 60 year career as a dealer in mineral specimens. It retains labels of Mark Feinglos and Georg Gebhard. It went into a German museum in the 19th century and was traded out to Gebhard in recent times, who then sold or traded it to Mark.
